Jump to navigation. As I am sure you are aware, every two years the pupils in Y5 and Y6 have the opportunity to attend a residential at an outdoor adventure centre. Here the children are provided with the opportunity to learn many new skills outdoors, as well as being provided with the opportunity to grow personally and become more independent. Such skills are essential to ensure that the pupils are 'secondary ready'.

Here they had the opportunity to complete the following activities:. Throughout the course of the whole week, the children were excellent ambassadors of our school. Their behaviour was exemplary, as was frequently mentioned by the instructors from the centre as well as teachers from other schools.

They really embodied all of the characteristics of a successful leaner. Everyone tried each of the activities and pushed themselves to fight their fears. They showed great determination and resilience. Both myself and Mrs Magee were exceptionally proud of you. It was a pleasure to spend the week with you and see you challenge yourself, be independent and grow in maturity. We had a fantastic week and have made many memories that I am sure we will remember for the rest of our lives.
